POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for a teaching position in Costume Design, with the possibility of costume design work for departmental productions. Instruction will be during Winter 2024 and Spring 2024, with the possibility of reappointment dependent upon departmental need and performance. Work will be in person on the UCSB campus; compensation will not include travel and housing expenses. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
MFA in Costume Design or BA/BFA in Theater plus three (3) years of professional costume design experience at time of application.
Teaching experience at the college/university level.
Costume design experience for dance is a plus.
